وَسَلَّمَ
1. The best word is Allah’s book. The best path is Muhammad’s path.
1. بہترین کلام کتاب اللہ ہے۔ بہترین راستہ صراط محمدی ہے۔

2. خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ
2. The most dutiful amongst you is the one who learns and teaches the Qur’an.
2. تم سے بہترین شخص وہ ہے جو قرآن سیکھے اور سکھائے۔

3. مَا مِنْ مَوْلُودٍ إِلَّا يُولَدُ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ
3. Every human being is born as a Muslim.
3. ہر انسان مسلمان پیدا ہوتا ہے۔

4. لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ مِنْ كِبْرٍ
4. Those that have a sparkle of arrogance will never enter paradise.
4. جس کے دل میں رائی برابر بھی تکبر ہوگا، وہ جنت میں داخل نہ ہوگا۔

5. مَا اغْبَرَّتْ قَدَمَا عَبْدٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَتَمَسَّهُ النَّارُ
5. Those servers whose feet got dusty on Allah’s path won’t touch hellfire.
5. وہ جس کے قدم راہ خدا میں خاک آلود ہوئے، انہیں جہنم کی آگ نہ چھو پائے گی۔

6. مَا شَيْءٌ أَثْقَلُ فِي مِيزَانِ الْمُؤْمِنِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ خُلُقٍ حَسَنٍ
6. Nothing more than the believer’s good manner will weigh on the scale on Judgement Day.
6. روزِ قیامت خوش خلقی سے بڑھ کر کوئی چیز مومن کے نامۂ اعمال میں بھاری نہ ہوگی۔

7. وَأَنَّ أَحَبَّ الْأَعْمَالِ إِلَى اللَّهِ أَدْوَمُهَا وَإِنْ قَلَّ
7. Allah loves the small deeds that are done constantly.
7. اللہ کو وہ چھوٹے نیک اعمال پسند ہیں جو مستقل کیے جائیں۔

8. مَنْ دَلَّ عَلَى خَيْرٍ فَلَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ فَاعِلِهِ
8. The initiator of a good deed will get the same reward as the one who adapts this deed.
8. کسی بھی نیک چلن کو شروع کرنے والا اُتنا ہی اجر پائے گا جتنا اس عمل کی پیروی کرنے والے کو حاصل ہوگا۔

9. مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَصْمُتْ
9. Those that believe in Allah and in Judgement day shall either talk good things or remain silent
9. جو اللہ اور یومِ آخرت پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں انہیں چاہیے کہ درست بات کہیں ورنہ خاموش رہیں۔

10. إِنَّ خِيَارَكُمْ أَحَاسِنُكُمْ أَخْلَاقًا
10. The best of you is the one with best character.
10. تم میں بہتر وہ ہے جس کے اخلاق اچھے ہیں۔

11. لَا يُلْدَغُ الْمُؤْمِنُ مِنْ جُحْرٍ وَاحِدٍ مَرَّتَيْنِ
11. A believer won’t redo the same mistake.
11. مومن ایک سوراخ سے دوسری مرتبہ نہیں ڈسا جاتا۔

12. خَيْرُكُمْ خَيْرُكُمْ لِأَهْلِهِ
12. The best among you is the one who’s useful for his family.
12. تم میں بہترین شخص وہ ہے جو اپنے اہل خانہ کے لیے کارآمد ہے۔

13. مَا أَكَلَ أَحَدٌ طَعَامًا قَطُّ خَيْرًا مِنْ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ مِنْ عَمَلِ يَدِهِ
13. The food you eat for which you have worked hard for is the best food.
13. تمہارے لیے وہ غذا سب سے بہتر ہے جس کے لیے تم نے محنت کی۔

14. الطُّهُورُ شَطْرُ الْإِيمَانِ
14. Purity comes from faith.
14. صفائی نصف ایمان ہے۔

15. إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَى صُوَرِكُمْ وَأَمْوَالِكُمْ وَلَكِنْ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى قُلُوبِكُمْ وَأَعْمَالِكُمْ
15. Allah won’t appreciate your outer appearance and your wealth, but what’s in your heart and your deeds.
15. اللہ کے نزدیک تمہاری ظاہری شکل و صورت اور مال و دولت کی نہیں بلکہ تمہاری نیتوں اور اعمال کی اہمیت ہے۔

16. كَفَى بِالْمَرْءِ إِثْمًا أَنْ يُحَدِّثَ بِكُلِّ مَا سَمِعَ
16. Only by narrating everything you hear to others you’ll do many sins.
16. ہر سنی سنائی بات کو آگے نہ بڑھاؤ اس سے تم کئی گناہوں میں مبتلا ہو گے۔

17. إِيَّاكُمْ وَالظَّنَّ فَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ أَكْذَبُ الْحَدِيثِ
17. Beware of speculations. Words which are based on speculations are the biggest lies.
17. بہت زیادہ گمان سے بچو کیونکہ بیشتر گمان گناہ ہوتے ہيں۔

18. الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ
18. A Muslim is someone from whose hand and tongue others are safe from.
18. مسلمان وہ ہے جس کے ہاتھ اور زبان سے دوسرے مسلمان محفوظ ہیں۔

19. لَنْ يَشْبَعَ الْمُؤْمِنُ مِنْ خَيْرٍ يَسْمَعُهُ حَتَّى يَكُونَ مُنْتَهَاهُ الْجَنَّةُ
19. A Muslim won’t stop listening to good advises until he’s entered paradise (ghanna).
19. مسلمان کو چاہیے کہ وہ خیر سننا بند نہ کرے حتی کہ وہ جنت میں داخل ہو جائے۔

20. لَا يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمُ النَّاسَ
20. Allah won’t be merciful to those who aren’t merciful to others.
20. جو زمین والوں پر رحم نہیں کرتا اللہ بھی اس پر رحم نہیں کرتا۔

21. ما آمن بي من بات شبعان وجاره جائع الى جنبه وهو يعلم به
21. The one who sleeps with a full stomach knowing that his neighbour is hungry doesn’t believe in me.
21. جو خود پیٹ بھر سوئے اور اس کا پڑوسی بھوکا ہو وہ ہم میں سے نہیں۔

22. لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ لَمْ يَرْحَمْ صَغِيرَنَا وَيُوَقِّرْ كَبِيرَنَا
22. Those who aren’t merciful to the little ones and don’t respect the old ones, aren’t from us.
22. وہ جو چھوٹوں سے شفقت اور بڑوں کی عزت نہیں کرتا وہ ہم میں سے نہیں۔

23. لَا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى يُحِبَّ لِأَخِيهِ مَا يُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِهِ
23. The things you don’t wish for yourself, don’t wish them for others, either.
23. جو کچھ تمہیں اپنے لیے پسند نہیں انہیں دوسروں کے لیے بھی پسند نہ کرو۔

24. لَا تَحْقِرَنَّ مِنْ الْمَعْرُوفِ شَيْئًا وَلَوْ أَنْ تَلْقَى أَخَاكَ بِوَجْهٍ طَلْقٍ
24. Never underestimate a good deed, even if it’s a smiling face to a fellow Muslim.
24. کسی بھی نیک عمل کو حقیر مت جانو، چاہے وہ اپنے مومن بھائی کے لیے مسکراہٹ ہی کیوں نہ ہو۔

25. تَبَسُّمُكَ فِي وَجْهِ أَخِيكَ لَكَ صَدَقَةٌ
25. Smiling is like giving alms (sadaqa).
25. مسکراہٹ بھی صدقہ ہے۔

26. لَا يَحِلُّ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ أَنْ يَهْجُرَ أَخَاهُ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ
26. It is unlawful for a Muslim to be disgruntled to a fellow Muslim for more than three days.
26. کسی بھی مسلمان کے لیے اپنے مسلمان بھائی سے تین دن سے زیادہ ناراض رہنا جائز نہیں۔

27. الْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى
27. The giving hand is better than the one that takes.
27. اوپر والا ہاتھ نیچے والے ہاتھ سے بہتر ہے۔

28. الْكَلِمَةُ الطَّيِّبَةُ صَدَقَةٌ
28. A good word is like giving alms (sadaqa).
28. اچھی بات بھی صدقہ ہے۔

29. مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي تَوَادِّهِمْ وَتَرَاحُمِهِمْ وَتَعَاطُفِهِمْ مَثَلُ الْجَسَدِ
29. All Muslims are a part of one body.
29. تمام مسلمان جسدِ واحد کی مانند ہیں۔

30. الْمُؤْمِنُ مِرْآةُ الْمُؤْمِنِ
30. A Muslim is a mirror to a Muslim.
30. مومن مومن کا آئینہ ہے۔

31. الناس سواء كاسنان المشط
31. Mankind is like the points of a comb. They’re balanced.
31. بنی نوع انسان کی مثال ایسی ہے جیسے کنگھی کے دندانے، جو بالکل برابر ہوتے ہیں۔

32. أَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ بَيْنَكُمْ
32. Spread the Islamic greeting (salam) among yourselves.
32. آپس میں سلام کو رواج دو۔

33. الْمُؤْمِنُ أَخُو الْمُؤْمِنِ
33. A Muslim is a Muslim’s fellow.
33. مسلمان مسلمان کا بھائی ہے۔

34. الصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ
34. Fasting (saum) is a Muslim’s shield.
34. روزہ مسلمان کی (گناہوں سے ڈھال ہے۔

35. الصلاة نور
35. The ritual prayer (salat) is the divine light (nur).
35. نماز نورِ ہے۔

36. كُلُّ خُطْوَةٍ يَمْشِيهَا إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ صَدَقَةٌ
36. Every step you take to perform the ritual prayer (salat) is like giving alms (sadaqa) for Allah.
36. نماز کے لیے بڑھنے والا ہر قدم گویا اللہ کی راہ میں صدقہ ہے۔

37. سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُّ الْعَمَلِ أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ قَالَ الصَّلَاةُ عَلَى وَقْتِهَا
37. The best deed for Allah is the ritual prayer (salat) which is done on time.
37. اللہ کی خاطر بہترین عمل وقت پر ادا کردہ نماز ہے۔

38. الصلاة معراج المؤمن
38. The ritual prayer (salat) is the Muslim’s ascension.
38. نماز مومن کی معراج ہے۔

39. نعم سلاح المؤمن الصبر والدعاء
39. Patience (sabir) and invocation (du’a) are the best two weapons of a Muslim.
39. صبر اور دعا مومن کے دو بہترین ہتھیار ہیں۔

40. لَيْسَ شَيْءٌ أَكْرَمَ عَلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى مِنْ الدُّعَاءِ
40. There’s nothing more precious for Allah, than invocation (du’a).
40. اللہ کے نزدیک دعا سے قیمتی کوئی چیز نہیں۔
